Tumbling Run Shelter

Tumbling Run shelter shelter is located about 1.1 miles north of the Old Forge picnic area and is directly on the trail. We pass this shelter during the PA AT #1 hike and have a short break here before continuing to Old Forge for lunch. There are two lean-to structures, labeled "Snoring" and "non-Snoring". There is an uncovered picnic table between the shelters, and another pavilion-covered table behind and slightly above the shelters.. There are also fire rings, clotheslines and, a short distance away there are tent sites. The privy is straight across the trail from the shelters. A marked trail leads left from the shelters, across Tumbling Run to a piped spring which was producing a steady stream of water when I was there.
